Between November 9 and 10, 2006, in Brussels, representatives of several PSBT member companies (MAart Agency, KMK, Kontekst and Lido Lang) have participated in an EUATC Conference. Some of the attendees also appeared as members of the organizational committee on behalf of the Polish Association of Translation Agencies. This is yet another great success of the national associations of industry-leading translation companies which cooperate within the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies. The subject of the conference included competition and competitiveness of the European translation industry. The presentation delivered by Monika Popio³ek on the PN-EN 15038:2006 European translation standard implementation process was greeted very warmly by the attendees, in view of the fact that Poland is a leader in promoting that standard. The engagement and professionalism of the PSBT members resulted in entrusting PSBT with hosting the 2007 EUATC Conference in Warsaw. Therefore, PSBT shall have an excellent opportunity to promote its members, our industry, and Poland.
