The TM-Europe International Conference traditionally focuses on management issues for the translation and localisation industry. The theme of TM-Europe 2009 is "Quality and Terminology Management, and Business Terms and Conditions for Translation and Localisation Services". Speakers include representatives of multinationals, EU bodies, leading LSPs, consultants and experts. The conference will feature presentations and panel discussions on quality management, terminology management and other translation management topics as well as workshops on translation technology and sales. The Warsaw Pact debate will focus on the business relationship between customers and vendors and will be webcast live on the Internet.

On Thursday, October 1st, we have a Translation Technology and Tools Workshop with Jost Zetzsche of International Writers Group and Daniel Goldschmidt of Localization Flow Technologies. On Saturday, October 3rd will be 2 parallel workshops, one on Computer-Assisted translation (CAT)tools and other technologies for automating the translation process, and the second on the Selling Translation and building customer relationships. The trainers for the tools and technologies workshop are Jost Zetzsche of International Writers Group, Angela Starkmann of Language & Letters and Gábor Ugray of Kilgray Translation Technologies. Doug Lawrence of Amicus TransTec Ltd is the trainer for the Selling Translation workshop.
